Parejo set for new Valencia deal

Valencia captain Dani Parejo is set to sign a two-year contract extension with the club to take him through to 2022, according to reports in Spain.

The 28-year-old’s current deal at the Mestalla runs through until June 2019 but the club wish to tie him down in a deal which could see him end his career at Los Che.

The central midfielder has made 250 appearances in all competitions since joining from Getafe in 2011 after previously playing for Real Madrid and Queens Park Rangers.

Plaza Deportiva report the club views his renewal as a priority after completing a similar deal for striker Rodrigo Moreno earlier this month.

Valencia are second in La Liga and unbeaten under Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral.
