Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta believes La Liga needs goal line technology ‘as soon as possible’ after further controversy on Sunday night.
Lionel Messi’s shot was fumbled by Valencia goalkeeper Norberto Neto over the line in a 1-1 draw at the Mestalla, but due to no technology in the league, no goal was awarded.
“It was clearly a goal, and everybody could tell, even from the goalkeeper’s body language,” Iniesta told reporters after the game, as reported b Marca.
“Technology would be the best solution in those situations where there is no doubt, football needs that.
“There was no possible different interpretation and those who need to implement the necessary equipment should continue analysing this to bring it as soon as possible.”
