Real Madrid are targeting Inter striker Mauro Icardi as their number one attacking target, according to reports in Spain.
Marca report the Argentine striker – who has netted 91 goals for the Milanese giants since his 2013 summer switch from Sampdoria – is attracting attention at the Bernabeu.
The 24-year-old’s contract at the San Siro runs until June 2021 and he is said to have a €110m release clause inserted in his contract.
The striker grew up in Gran Canaria and had a spell in Barcelona’s La Masia youth academy, potentially smoothing a future switch to Spain.
Icardi, who has scored 13 goals in Serie A this campaign, ‘will join Madrid’ next summer, according to recent comments from former Italian international Daniele Massaro.
