Newcastle United are hopeful of a deal for out-of-favour Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to reports.
The Dutch international moved to the Catalan giants from Ajax in 2016 but has failed to dislodge German counterpart Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
A report in Marca suggests the 28-year-old could be sold as early in January as the Blaugrana look to slash their wage budget.
This has been added to by TalkSport, who claim Cillessen is a target for Newcastle and the Magpies are preparing a €10m (£9m) offer for the shot-stopper.
Capped 38 times by The Netherlands, the goalkeeper has only featured in one La Liga match since joining the Catalans.
