Casemiro ‘would welcome’ international teammate Neymar at Real Madrid and admitted he ‘hopes’ they could be united at the Bernabeu.
Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain in a world record €222m deal from Madrid’s arch-rivals Barcelona over summer but reports suggests he is yet to properly settle in the French capital.
“He’s a superstar and knows exactly how to handle his career,” Casemiro told Cadena Cope on Tuesday following Brazil’s draw with England in London.
“Neymar is a great player and of course I would welcome him at Real Madrid, I hope he does join us, but my knowledge is he is happy in Paris.”
Neymar was close to tears in a press conference last week after being asked if he had fallen out with figures at PSG.
