Zinedine Zidane has been dealt a double blow as Keylor Navas and Dani Carvajal are both set to miss Saturday’s Madrid derby, say reports in Spain.
30-year-old goalkeeper Navas has missed a month of action with a hamstring injury but Saturday’s clash at the Wanda Metropolitano is set to come too soon for him.
Spain international Carvajal has pericarditis – a viral infection affecting the membrane enclosing his heart, which is incredibly rare and difficult to treat.
Whilst it was reported the right-back looked set for a return to action this weekend, Marca now state that on doctor’s advice, he will miss the tie.
Kiko Casilla and Achaf Hakimi look set to continue to deputise in those positions, while Gareth Bale and Mateo Kovacic are also unavailable.
