Galatasaray agree Arda deal – reports

Galatasaray have agreed a deal to sign out-of-favour Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan in January on loan with an option to buy, say reports in Spain.

Diario Sport cites a report in Turkish outlet Fanatik stating a €1.5m loan arrangement with the option for the deal to be made permanent has been agreed, with the decision now resting on the player.

Arda previously spent five years in the Turkish side’s first team, winning a league, cup and Super Cup during his stint, before joining Atletico Madrid in 2011.

Since moving to the Camp Nou in 2015 in a €34m deal, the midfielder has struggled to nail down a first-team place, but has scored 19 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions.

The Turk has not featured in any games for Barca this season and the club are reportedly keen to sanction his exit as soon as possible.
