Ousmane Dembele is recovering quickly from his hamstring injury and could be included against Real Madrid, but Barcelona don’t want to rush him.
Marca reports Dembele looks to be ahead of schedule in his recovery from surgery and while 2018 was initially pegged for the forward’s comeback, the final game of 2017 – against Real Madrid – isn’t out of the question.
However, it’s noted that Barca are keen not to pressure Dembele to return before he is totally ready and aren’t going to force Dembele back before he feels ready.
If Dembele feels ready to play before 2018 then that could change Barca’s opinion but as it stands, Dembele is pegged for a return when La Liga resumes following the Christmas break.
Barca are also taking into consideration their good start to the season and good form without Dembele, as it means there is no immediate need for the former Borussia Dortmund attacker to return.
