Vitolo: No crisis at Real Madrid

Las Palmas winger Vitolo has laughed off suggestions that Real Madrid are in crisis and ‘will do everything’ to defeat his side on Sunday.

Zinedine Zidane has suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time in charge at the Bernabeu while Los Amarillos have lost their last six league outings and sit second-from-bottom in the standings.

“Real Madrid will show they are not in crisis and will do everything in order to beat us,” Vitolo told Diario AS.

“You can never underestimate sides in their situation when they have so much ability, they can beat you with so much quality.

“We believe we can get a result but we will need to play at our best and hope Madrid aren’t at their top level, but we need to focus on committing as few mistakes as possible though we will need no motivation.

“Our situation is difficult but Pako has come in and mange a change, he likes his team to play with the ball and with intelligence.

“We are totally confident in him and believe he can get the team back to where it should be in the standings.

“Personally, I’ve suffered two injuries, one immediately after the other and those have restricted me but now I feel much better and that I’ve recovered fitness.

“The most important thing is that I’m available for the team and to help us recover the situation.”

Vitolo will join Madrid's city rivals Atletico in January after a protracted and controversial transfer from Sevilla.
