Marco Asensio is happy to have made the most of his appearance against Fuenlabrada on Thursday by adding to his goal tally.
The 21-year-old netted his sixth goal of the campaign from the penalty spot as Zinedine Zidane’s side earned a hard fought 2-0 win against the Segunda B outfit.
“The more minutes on the pitch you get the better,” Asensio is quoted as saying by Marca.
“I always try to make the most of what game time I’ve been given and thankfully today I’ve added another goal.
“It was never going to be an easy game – they played very well but we knew they would tire in the second half and that could give us the opportunity to take advantage, so we are happy.”
Asensio has started nine of Madrid’s 15 games across all competitions so far this season.
