Madrid to learn Club World Cup draw

Club World Cup holders Real Madrid will gain a better understanding of who they will face in their defence of the trophy this year.

The draw for the tournament is made on Monday, with Zinedine Zidane’s side aiming for a third title in four years following their Champions League success in June.

United Arab Emirates – the host nation – champions Al-Jazira will face New Zealand outfit Auckland City in a playoff and the winners will join Mexican champions Pachuca in the quarter finals.

Madrid and the Libertadores champions (the final of which will be in November) will join in at the semi-final stage.

Los Blancos won last season’s final in Japan with a 4-2 win over Kashima Antlers.
