Diego Costa assures he is “really keen to start doing my bit back home” after completing his return to Atletico Madrid from Chelsea.
Costa will start training with Atleti on Wednesday, having officially rejoined the club in a deal reportedly up to €60m, and he made no secret of just how happy he was.
“I’m very happy about going back home,” the striker told Los Rojiblancos’ official website.
“I’ve always said that Atletico is my home. I’m very, very, very happy.
“I’m really keen to start doing my bit. I’m going to give my all for the team, like I’ve always tried to do.
“I must thank the efforts of [CEO] Miguel Angel Gil, in particular, and the whole club to make this happen. I’m very grateful to everyone.”
