Isco has revealed Real Madrid often become ‘anxious’ at the Bernabeu if they don’t score an early goal at their home stadium.
The 25-year-old playmaker started Wednesday night’s 1-0 defeat at home to Real Betis – their third home league game of the campaign, with the first victory still to come.
“We become anxious if we don’t score an early goal,” Isco is quoted as saying by Marca after the match.
“There have been times in the past we have pulled off fantastic comebacks in the final few minutes and scored when we didn’t deserve to, but we cannot rely on that.
“It’s better this is happening now rather than later in the season as there is time to fix this – we’ve come back from worse situations.”
