Muriel wants Sevilla title tilt

Luis Muriel reveals he is eyeing La Liga glory after scoring his first goal for Sevilla in their 1-0 victory over Girona on Sunday.

Muriel opened his Sevilla account in his fourth appearance, finding the winner at Montilivi to push the Andalusians into second, and the former Sampdoria striker admits he has bigger fish to fry.

“I’m happy for the three points,” he said after the game.

“We won at a very difficult place to play. It’s an immense joy because it gives us the three points, and I hope it’ll be the first of many.

“My celebration? It’s because I took away the pressure of my first, few games. Everyone congratulated me because they knew what it meant to me.

“Winning La Liga? It’s a dream. We know that we have to compete with two rivals like Madrid and Barcelona.

“Both of them will always be the favourites, but we’re still going to fight for it.

“Rotations? The most important thing is that every one of us gives their all on the pitch. The results will follow.”
