Isco renews at Madrid until 2022

Francisco "Isco" Alarcon had signed a four-year contract extension at Real Madrid to keep him at the club until June 2022.

The 25-year-old’s previous deal at the Bernabeu was due to expire next summer but has put pen to paper on the new deal which is rumoured to include a €700m release clause.

Having joined Madrid from Malaga in 2013, the playmaker has amassed 192 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring 33 goals and providing 29 assists.

Isco was rumoured to have been dissatisfied with his lack of first-team football in the first half of last season but earned himself increasing prominence throughout the campaign and is now a vital clog of Madrid’s attack.
