Al Hilal loan part of Costa deal?

Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal are hopeful of signing Diego Costa on loan until January as part of the move that takes the striker to Atletico Madrid.

Widespread reports suggest Los Rojiblancos will conclude a deal for the 28-year-old imminently after English champions Chelsea finally agreed to enter into transfer negotiations.

The Blues are set to be holding out for €60m (£54m) – which would make the Spain international Atletico’s most expensive ever signing.

The Daily Mail now report Al Hilal could form part of the deal, temporarily loaning the striker until January, when the European transfer window reopens and Costa would then complete his move to Atleti.

Diego Simeone’s side take on Chelsea in the Champions League on 27 September and both clubs are reportedly confident a deal will be concluded in advance of the tie.
