Atletico Madrid will refuse to sell Luciano Vietto if they fail to land Diego Costa from Chelsea, it is reported in Spain.
The Argentine striker has been heavily linked with a summer exit from Los Rojiblancos with Marca reporting clubs in Spain, Italy, England, France and Russia are all interested.
It is believed Valencia, Southampton and Sampdoria are among the clubs who hold a desire to sign the striker, who spent last season on loan at Sevilla.
The attacker failed to impress in his one season at the Vicente Calderon – scoring just one La Liga goal – and is behind Antoine Griezmann, Kevin Gameiro and Fernando Torres in Diego Simeone’s pecking order.
Atleti are keen to negotiate a deal which will see Diego Costa return to the capital club after departing for the London club three years ago.
23-year-old Vietto netted 10 times in 31 matches for the Andalucians but did not convince enough in order for the Andalucians to pursue their interest.
