Ligue 1 club Lyon have signed midfielder Pape Cheikh Diop from Celta Vigo in a deal thought to be in the region of €15m.
The Spain Under-19 international had been the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur who had tabled a €9m (£8m) bid, although the French club since swooped with an increased offer.
20-year-old Diop joined Celta Vigo aged 14 and made 16 league appearances for the club last season, scoring once.
The Galician club have signed Maxi Gomez, Stanislav Lobotka and Jozabed, while they are expected to complete the signing of Borussia Dortmund winger Emre Mor.
