Levante want Arsenal’s Perez?

Levante have emerged as a potential destination for out-of-favour Arsenal striker Lucas Perez, say reports in Spain.

According to Marca, the newly-promoted side are intent on strengthening their attacking options while the Gunners are open to selling the 28-year-old.

Deportivo La Coruna have reportedly bid €12m for the Spain international, whom they sold to the North London side for €20m last summer but their advances have so far been rejected.

However, the striker’s ‘only intention’ is to return to the Riazor and is unlikely to accept any proposal despite reportedly being offered to Roma, Fenerbahce and Newcastle United.

Perez netted only once in eleven league outings for Arsenal in his sole season in North London where he struggled to dislodge the established attackers at the club, who have since signed Alexandre Lacazette.
