Sevilla sporting director Oscar Arias is confident his club are capable of qualifying from their Champions League group and more transfers ‘are almost done’.
Having replaced Monchi earlier this year, the new sporting director at Los Rojiblancos has already made seven signings this summer and the club have progressed to the group stage of UEFA’s top competition for the third successive season.
“Whatever group you draw in the Champions League it's always going to be strong,” Arias told Sevilla’s club website.
“But between the teams who were in the pots this will be a tough group but one with possibilities for us.
“The important thing is that we are able to find our level as the club is growing and we are taking steps to cement ourselves in this competition.
“Now we have to keep growing and compete as a Champions League team, we are getting there bit by bit.
“More transfers? A bit still needs to be done to complete the contracts, but the work is almost done.”
