Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne has admitted ‘everyone dreams of Barcelona’ but he has no intention of leaving the Serie A giants.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to the Camp Nou this summer having netted 20 times for the Naples-based club last season.
The Blaugrana have been frustrated in their attempts to reinvest the €222m they received from Neymar’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain, with negotiations for Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele proving difficult.
“I thank you for the compliments, but I have always dreamed of doing well with this jersey,” Lorenzo told reporters after the 2-0 win over Nice on Tuesday in the Champions League.
“Of course, everyone dreams of Barcelona, but I dream with the Azzurri shirt too.”
