Joao Cancelo has completed his long-awaited season-long loan move to Inter from Valencia with an option to buy next summer.
The 23-year-old completed his medical examinations at the San Siro before the Nerazzurri confirmed the signing of the Portuguese international on Tuesday.
“Inter represent a step forward in my career,” Cancelo explained on the Milanese club's official website.
“It's a historic club and I hope to grow here, contributing to the project. I hope to win a trophy this year.
“The aim is to settle in as quickly as possible, then we'll attempt to fight for the Scudetto.
“I am a player who likes to help his teammates and I'll give my all for Inter. I arrive with the belief I can do well and am ready to give my best for this jersey.”
Signed from Benfica in 2015 for €15m, Cancelo made 74 La Liga appearances for Los Che and netted three international goals in four appearances.
Geoffrey Kondogbia has moved the opposite way in a similar deal, while Jeison Murillo also made the switch to Los Che from Inter.
