Nice have dismissed rumours they are negotiating with Barcelona for the transfer of highly-rated midfielder Jean Michael Seri.
The Ivory Coast international has been heavily linked with a move to the Camp Nou in the media while the front page of El Mundo Deportivo predicted a deal to be closed this week.
“We haven't held any talks with Barca, nor do I know of any negotiations lined up in the next few days,” the Ligue 1 club’s general manager Julien Fournier told Diario Sport.
“These are all just rumours and we have not set a price for Seri. I think that the player will stay with us this season.
“Yes it's true that he is open to listening to offers if they arrive but he's also very happy at Nice, whether or not we qualify for the group stages of the Champions League.”
