Ousmane Dembele is ‘very close’ to joining Barcelona as the Catalan giants finalise ‘adds on’ with Borussia Dortmund, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The report states again that the two clubs have already agreed upon an upfront payment of €100m for the French striker with the Bundesliga club demanding an extra €30m in ‘achievable’ add-ons.
Whilst the Blaugrana had initially baulked at the suggestions, this is said to have been a negotiating tactic but due to their frustration in their pursuit of Dembele and other targets, most notably Philippe Coutinho, they will end up matching Dortmund’s initial demands.
The 20-year-old is said to be Barca’s primary candidate to replace Neymar in their starting attacking line-up, following the Brazilian’s €222m exit to Paris Saint-Germain.
