The ‘swap’ deal that will take midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia to Valencia and full-back Joao Cancelo the other way to Inter is reportedly done.
Mundo Deportivo verifies reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport that the two players have arrived at their respective destinations to go undergo medical examinations with both having agreed to moves.
Kondogbia, 24, is set to move to the Mestalla on loan for a season with a purchase option of €28m for Los Che, the French midfielder’s current salary is said to be c €3.8m per year.
Sportitalia say Portuguese right-back Cancelo will move to the Italian club on a €2m per year on an initial loan with an option to buy of €32m included.
The situation had been somewhat complicated by Valencia naming the defender in their squad to face Las Palmas, but this is not thought to indicate that the deal will not go through and since that decision, he is ‘closer’ to becoming a Nerazzurri player.
