Deportivo La Coruna are confident of re-signing Lucas Perez this month despite having a €12m offer turned down by Arsenal.
According to Marca, the Galician club are confident of reaching an agreement with the Gunners for the 28-year-old striker who joined the English club for a fee just shy of €21m last summer.
Officials at Depor are aware the North London club’s refusal is based on posturing and attempting to recoup as much money as possible for the Spain international.
However, Perez is intent on returning to the Riazor and has informed both clubs of his decision which should theoretically speed up a return.
It is likely Pepe Mel’s club will return with a renewed offer and the move is expected to then be sanctioned.
