Diego Costa could form ‘one of the best strike partnerships in Europe’ with Antoine Griezmann should he return to Atletico Madrid, believes Tomas Ujfalusi.
The former Atleti defender, who played with the Spain international at Los Rojiblancos in the 2010-11 campaign, has joined a growing list to call for the 28-year-old’s return to Los Colchoneros.
“I believe he could play six months elsewhere and return to the club in January,” the Czech told Diario AS.
“I’m hoping that he does join, Costa was a spectacular striker when I played with him.
“Of course, Costa is a warrior who always leaves everything on the pitch. He is strong, quick and scores a lot of goals.
“He scored more than 50 times playing for Chelsea in a very tough competition like the Premier League.
“Together with Griezmann they could be one of the best strike partnerships in Europe.”
