Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta has been ruled out of the second leg of the Supercopa against Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
The 33-year-old has a muscular injury which caused him to miss training on Tuesday with Diario Sport reporting either Andre Gomes or Sergi Roberto will start in his place.
Iniesta has struggled to reach full fitness in the past twelve months due to a succession of injuries and it is reported the Blaugrana’s pursuit of Philippe Coutinho will ease the burden on the midfielder, who has made 631 appearances for the club over a distinguished career.
