Boateng to Frankfurt after Las Palmas exit

Kevin-Prince Boateng is set to join Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt after Las Palmas agreed to terminate his contract on Wednesday.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, the Ghanaian is set to sign a two-year deal with the German club after cutting short his stay in Gran Canaria.

A press conference has been scheduled for Wednesday evening at 5pm (CET) to clarify the reasoning behind the 30-year-old’s departure from Los Amarillos with the player and club president Miguel Angel Ramirez expected to be in attendance.

The former Tottenham, Portsmouth and Milan star netted 10 La Liga goals in 28 appearances last season, attracting attention from a number of rival clubs.

In May, Boateng had signed a three-year contract extension with Las Palmas but has now left the club within three months.
