Deportivo La Coruna president Tino Fernandez is planning on travelling to London to tie up a deal for Arsenal striker Lucas Perez, say reports in Spain.
According to La Voz de Galicia, Depor are growing confident they can land the 28-year-old who left the club last summer for a €20m fee.
The striker reportedly has his heart set on a move to the Riazor despite interest from Fenerbahce and Newcastle United, while the Galician club can improve their initial €12m bid.
The report continues that Fernandez is offering that fee as a lump sum payment with add-ons attached which, despite his club’s economic constraints, are realistic.
Perez netted only once in eleven league outings for Arsenal in his sole season in North London where he struggled to dislodge the established attackers at the club, who have since signed Alexandre Lacazette.
Earlier this month, Depor completed the loan signing of forward Adrian Lopez from FC Porto.
