Neymar ‘more alive than ever’

Neymar feels ‘more alive than ever’ after netting on his Paris Saint-Germain debut to complete the scoring in a 3-0 win at Guingamp.

The 25-year-old’s first appearance for the Parisians coincided with his former club Barcelona’s 3-1 Supercopa defeat at the hands of Real Madrid, but the Brazilian instead focused on his new club.

“People think that leaving Barcelona means death, but it's the opposite, I'm more alive than ever," Neymar was quoted as saying by Diario Sport.

“I play, I'm happy and the football is the same. The country and the city change, but the football is the same.

“The team did well, we had a great game. I'm very happy with my debut, but the important thing is the win.

“It's easy to play with footballers of great quality. Cavani is a great player, it's easy to play too with Di Maria, Verratti, Motta, Alves. With them we are getting to know each other and we will improve."
