Nasser Al Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, has travelled to Madrid to attempt to negotiate a deal for Atletico Madrid’s goalkeeper Jan Oblak, say reports.

According to Diario AS, a meeting has been scheduled for Saturday with the agent of the Slovenian goalkeeper, whose current release clause at Los Rojiblancos stands at €100m.

Atleti are reportedly ruling out any sort of negotiation for the former Benfica goalkeeper and indeed are trying to tie him down to a new deal, despite his current contract running until June 2021.

The Madrid-based club are still under a player registration ban until January and Oblak is one of their most valued first-team players, having established himself as one of Europe’s finest goalkeepers.

The 24-year-old has kept 46 La Liga clean sheets in 79 appearances for Diego Simeone’s side.
