Beckham to be Real Madrid ambassador

David Beckham will return to Real Madrid to become an official ambassador, according to the club’s president Florentino Perez.

The former England midfielder represented Los Blancos 155 times across four seasons, in which he scored 20 goals and won a La Liga title, and now looks set to return to the Bernabeu in a non-playing capacity.

“Great players are those who have helped give us this great image of the club since 2000," Perez admitted to Fox Deportes.

“These players like Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo and Beckham, who I have just seen here and was delighted to see him return. They remain our ambassadors, Zidane as Coach, Ronaldo Nazario, Roberto Carlos. And now David Beckham too is going to join up with us as an ambassador.”

The former Manchester United player has yet to comment on the reports.
