Celta turn to Fener’s Volkan

Celta Vigo are interested in signing Turkish winger Volkan Sen from Fenerbahce after unsuccessful moves elsewhere in the market, say reports in Spain.

Cadena Ser report the Galicians have turned their attentions to the 30-year-old after being unsuccessful in their enquiries for his fellow Turk Emre Mor, who looks set to join Inter from Borussia Dortmund.

Negotiations for Heerenveen winger Sam Larsson have also reportedly stalled and new Celta Coach Juan Carlos Unzue is keen to swiftly add a wide midfielder to his ranks.

Volkan has spent his entire career in Turkey and won the title with Bursaspor in 2010 and since moving to Fenerbahce he has scored eight goals and registered 13 assists in 76 matches and has featured for the Istanbul-based club in the Europa League.

The report states that due to the player having only one year left on his contract in Turkey he would be available in the region of €4m.
