Playmaker Ryad Boudebouz is undergoing a medical at Real Betis ahead of completing his €7m transfer from Montpellier.
The Algerian international arrived in Seville airport on Monday night and was greeted by over 100 fans of Los Verdiblancos who had been waiting on his arrival following widespread media reports.
The 27-year-old starred in Ligue 1 last season, netting 11 times and he could be utilised as the primary replacement for Dani Ceballos, who joined Real Madrid last month.
He will be the eighth summer arrival at Estadio Benito Villamarin following deals for Sergio Leon, Victor Camarasa, Andres Guardado, Zouhair Feddal, Jordi Amat, Antonio Barragan and Cristian Tello.
Betis are also said to be close to completing the €1.5m signing of Zenit Saint Petersburg midfielder Javi Garcia.
