Atleti plan new Oblak deal

Atletico Madrid are hopeful of tying in-demand goalkeeper Jan Oblak down to a new bumper long-term contract at the club, say reports in Spain.

According to Marca, Los Rojiblancos are not content with the current deal for the Slovenian which despite running until June 2021 has a reported release clause of €100m.

Paris Saint-Germain, fresh from the landmark €222m signing of Neymar, are said to be intent of raiding La Liga once more and exploiting other release clauses to bolster their squad.

The deal would be similar to those awarded to midfield duo Koke and Saul earlier this summer, with both signing new long-term contracts until 2024 and 2026 respectively.
