Neymar’s former club Santos are demanding Barcelona pay them a fee of €13.4m for the forward’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, say reports.
Marca cite Brazilian outlet Globoesporte that the Brazilian side are requesting close to 5% of the 25-year-old’s €222m fee to the Parc des Princes alongside a sum of €4.5m for a friendly between the two clubs which never took place.
The Brazil international moved to the Camp Nou from the Sao Paulo based club in 2013 in a controversial transfer for which alleged non-payments and undisclosed fees led to several high-profile court case.
The two clubs did play a friendly in the 2013 Joan Gamper trophy but the second clash, allegedly contractually agreed, never took place in the midst of the relationship between the clubs breaking down over non-payment.
However, the Blaugrana are reportedly arguing the Brazilian side are not due a sell-on fee as Neymar bought out his release clause, rather than the Ligue 1 club paying the money directly.
