Montpellier have confirmed that Ryad Boudebouz will undergo a medical with Real Betis but insist “certain details” still need to be agreed.
L’Equipe reported earlier in the week that Boudebouz would have his Betis medical on Monday after a deal worth €7m plus bonuses was agreed, as was a four-year contract with the attacking midfielder.
However, Montpellier President Laurent Nicollin told Canal+: “Ryad’s gone to take his medical in Barcelona.
“But we haven’t agreed certain details with Betis yet. We have to find an arrangement with them.
“There must be an effort from both sides for the transfer to happen.”
The 27-year-old, who can also play out wide, scored 11 goals in Ligue 1 last season and has 25 caps for Algeria.
