Malaga have completed the signing of Sevilla defender Diego Gonzalez on a four-year deal worth €2m, it has been confirmed.
Los Rojiblancos hold a repurchase option on the 22-year-old with the move coming in the wake of Sevilla signing central defender Simon Kjaer from Fenerbahce.
The move comes less than a year after the central defender signed a new contract at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan until June 2019 and he becomes Malaga’s ninth signing of the summer.
The defender began with his career with Cadiz and spent a year at Granada before joining Los Rojiblancos in 2015 aged 20, but has made only 10 first team appearances in that time.
