Fenerbahce central defender and Denmark international captain Simon Kjaer is undergoing a medical with Sevilla on Tuesday, it has been confirmed.
The Andalucians released a statement on Monday night to confirm the 28-year-old, who has won 67 international caps, had arrived in southern Spain and was set to undergo medical examinations.
A ‘complete agreement’ has been reached with the Turkish giants and although no fee has been confirmed, reports of the eventual agreement range €8-11m and despite previous suggestions, midfielder Walter Montoya isn’t believed to be moving in the opposite direction.
Kjaer amassed 88 appearances in two seasons in Istanbul having previously enjoyed spells at Palermo, Wolfsburg, Roma and Lille.
He will follow a heavy summer of spending at Los Rojiblancos with Nolito, Luis Muriel, Ever Banega, Guizo Pizarro and Sebastien Corchia having already arrived and Jesus Navas set to follow.
