MD: ‘No PSG contact over Neymar’

Mundo Deportivo reports that Paris Saint-Germain have still made no direct contact with Barcelona over signing Neymar.

The Brazilian forward has been at the centre of a protracted transfer saga in recent weeks, amid heavy speculation that the French club will smash the world record transfer fee by paying the player's €222m release clause.

Following Barca's pre-season win over Real Madrid in the United States on Saturday, Neymar visited the opposing dressing room for 15 minutes and left with two Los Blancos shirts, fuelling rumours he was bidding farewell to his rivals.

The 25-year-old is currently in China on a promotional visit but it is claimed by numerous media sources that he will visit Qatar tomorrow to undergo a PSG medical.

In spite of this, the Spanish daily insist that no dialogue has taken place between the two European giants regarding the transfer. Indeed, the only contact between the clubs this summer took place when Barca officials called PSG to officially register the Blaugrana's interest in signing midfielder Marco Verratti.

Neymar himself is still yet to make his intentions clear, but his conduct and refusal to reveal his future plans is said to have angered his Barca teammates.
