Gerard Pique has revealed that Barcelona teammate Neymar “doesn’t know what to do”, amidst speculation linking him with Paris Saint-Germain.
Pique famously tweeted Neymar was staying at Barca but quickly backtracked on his comments, and the defender challenged the forward to decide whether the money of PSG or prestige of Barca meant more to him.
“Neymar and I we are very close and I want him to stay and I know the situation,” he told ESPN.
“Right now, he doesn’t know what to do and we are trying to help him, the ones [on the team] that are more close to him to take the right decision.
“We will see. The tweet was about pushing him to stay. I want him to stay and we will see what happens.
“It depends on what he wants. He can be in all the clubs in all the world. He can be in Paris, Barcelona, Chelsea or City.
“All the clubs will want him. It’s about your priorities. What do you want? Do you want more money? Do you want to win titles?
“It’s happening here and it’s happening in the NBA as well. There are some players that are not earning all the money that they deserve to win titles.
“So sometimes you have to take decisions in life and it’s all about priorities.”
