Osasuna are closing in on the signing of River Plate midfielder and former Argentina youth international Joaquin Arzura, say reports in Spain.
The 24-year-old made a total of 23 appearances for the Buenas Aires giants after joining from Argentine side Tigres in 2016.
“We have not yet confirmed the deal because it is not done but it is hopefully about to be made,” Osasuna sporting director Braulio Vazquez is quoted as saying by Marca.
Arzura is now a ‘stone’s throw’ from joining the Pamplona-based club according to a report in Marca and will form a part of a new-look side who were relegated from La Liga last season.
Despite a host of departures, the club have made several high-profile signings in La Liga 123 including defender Aridane (Cadiz) along with forwards David Rodriguez (Alcorcon) and Quique (Almeria).
