Goalkeeper Pau Lopez has ruled out a return to Tottenham Hotspur and is excited to be involved with Espanyol ahead of the coming campaign.
Lopez has completed a season-long loan stint at White Hart Lane, without making a first team appearance, having moved from the Catalan club last summer.
"I do not know where all this comes from, nobody have told me that [Espanyol] do not count on me and I will be here all season, no matter what," Lopez told Diario AS.
“I am happy to be at home because Espanyol is my home and I am happy with my teammates. When you spend one year away you value even more when you return.
"(When in London) you are out of the comfort zone and that makes you evolve on a personal level, you also know a new league and a new way of training.
“I was in a team with incredible players and a Coach (Mauricio Pochettino) to whom I am thankful for the experience they gave me."
