Manchester City are set to confirm the signing of Real Madrid full-back Danilo, who has bid his farewells to his Real Madrid teammates.
A range of Spanish outlets reported the Brazilian said his goodbyes to his Madrid colleagues on Friday in America before visiting City’s contingent, who are also in the country for pre-season.
The former Porto full-back will undergo his City medical and is set to be announced on Saturday in a deal said to be worth an initial €30m with a further €5m in add-ons.
Madrid paid €31.5m to take Danilo from the Portuguese giants in 2015 and were keen to recoup as much of that as possible, although it now appears they have actually made a profit on the defender.
Chelsea and Juventus were both strongly linked to the Brazilian but they reportedly were unwilling to go upwards of €20m for any deal.
Danilo made just 25 appearances for Madrid last season in his understudy role to Dani Carvajal at right-back.
