Josep Maria Bartomeu believes Neymar’s release clause of €222m is ‘impossible to activate’ and insisted the forward was not on the market.
The Brazil superstar has been linked with a sensational move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain this summer and reportedly told his compatriots at the club he would play for the Parisians next season.
"He is not on the market," Associated Press quoted Barca president Bartomeu as saying.
"He has a contract for the coming four years and, of course, we count on him. "He's part of our team. He's part of this trident.
“These clauses are impossible to activate, if you want to comply with the financial fair play. If someone doesn't want to comply, then of course it can be activated."
