Alaves sign Valencia’s Sivera

Alaves have completed the signing of highly-rated Valencia goalkeeper Antonio Sivera on a four-year contract, it has been confirmed.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper has been signed to give competition to Fernando Pacheco at the Mendizorrotza and comes following Valencia’s signing of Juventus goalkeeper Norberto Neto.

The Brazilian’s arrival at the Mestalla should ensure that he and Jaume Domenech are the two first-choice goalkeepers, after both Diego Alves (Flamengo) and Mathew Ryan (Brighton) were both sold by Los Che.

Sivera started for Valencia B last season with 38 appearances as they fell short of promotion to La Liga 123 with a playoff defeat.

Adrian Ortola has left the Basque club to return to Barcelona following a loan deal.
