New Sevilla forward Nolito is targeting winning more trophies with the club and explained Coach Eduardo Berizzo influenced his decision.
The 30-year-old joined the Andalucians in a €9m deal from Manchester City earlier this week and will link up with his former Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Berizzo..
“This is just a new chapter in my career,” Nolito is quoted as saying on Sevilla’s website.
“The Coach knows me, but there is a strong squad with good players so I'll have to be at the top of my game. It's a difficult year and our rivals are making good signings, we'll have to be up to scratch.
“I'm very happy here in my homeland and now it's time to get going; Sevilla is a club that wins titles, they have a great team which is among the best in Spain and of course I'd like to win trophies here.
“I was extremely excited from the first moment this option arose. Also with the Coach’s idea and with a squad like this I didn't think twice.
“There were moments were I had a hard time because the operation got complicated, but in the end everything turned out well."
