Barcelona are insisting Neymar will not be leaving the club despite media reports Paris Saint-Germain could activate his €222m release clause.
Tuesday’s front pages from the Spanish press were dominated by the rumours surrounding the Brazilian and a remarkable alleged proposal from the Parisians.
"That's not going to happen," Barca sporting director Robert Fernandez responded when asked about the star leaving the club.
"We have not had any offers for any player in our squad and no club will pay the release clause."
Any deal for the French giants to sign the former Santos star would over double the world record transfer fee that Manchester United paid Juventus for Paul Pogba.
There had been increased speculation that such a move could ‘unlock’ Marco Verratti’s move to the Blaugrana.
