Yerry Mina’s representative claims Barcelona have a deal in place to sign the Palmeiras defender next summer.
Mina has been linked with Barca ever since his uncle claimed last October that a pre-agreement had been struck for the 23-year-old to join the Catalans, and he is now being tipped to arrive in 2018.
“For now, he’s staying in Brazil, but after that he’ll land in the Spanish League in 2018,” Felipe Russo, who works for the GMRSports agency, told FCInternews.it.
“His dream has always been to play for the Blaugrana. Why should those hopes be broken when it comes to, from my point of view, the best technical project for him?
“He’ll stay at Palmeiras for another season because he’s happy there and he wants to be in good shape for the World Cup. For me, there’s zero chance that things will change.”
Mina moved to Palmeiras last year and won the Brazilian League in his first season, while making its Team of the Year.
He also has nine caps for Colombia, scoring three goals.
